EV airport transfer pricing in Bali is per vehicle, not per person. As of August 2026, a chauffeur-driven electric MPV from Ngurah Rai runs $113 per day, a luxury seven-seater $235 per 12 hours, and a self-drive electric car — which covers the transfer and every day after it — starts at $29 per day. Add a flat Rp14,000 toll on certain routes and that is the entire cost picture.
This page holds the two tables that answer everything: vehicle rates for every format, and the route grid showing distance, realistic time and whether the Bali Mandara toll applies from the airport to Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Sanur and Denpasar.
How much is an electric car transfer from Bali Airport?
Between $29 and $500 per day depending on format. Self-drive EVs from $29–$95 per day replace the transfer entirely; an English-speaking driver adds from $35 per day; dedicated chauffeur vehicles run $113–$500. The rate is identical for a ten-minute Kuta drop or a 105-minute Ubud climb — distance does not change the price.

How long does each route take — and which ones use the toll?
The grid below uses verified distance figures and realistic time ranges: the lower bound is what the run takes outside rush hours, the upper bound is typical traffic. During the 08.00–10.00 and 16.00–19.00 peaks, expect even the upper figures to stretch by 40–60%.
| From DPS to | Distance | Time (typical range) | Bali Mandara toll? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kuta | 3–4 km | 10–15 min | No |
| Legian | around 5–6 km | 15–25 min | No |
| Jimbaran | 7 km | 15–25 min | Sometimes, by drop point |
| Seminyak | 10 km | 20–40 min | No |
| Nusa Dua (ITDC) | 12–13 km | 20–40 min | Yes |
| Denpasar centre | around 12–14 km | 12–31 min | Often |
| Sanur | 14–15 km | 20–45 min | Often |
| Canggu (Batu Bolong) | 18–20 km | 45–90 min | No |
| Uluwatu (Pecatu) | 22–23 km | 45–75 min | No |
| Ubud centre | 37–38 km | 60–105 min | No |
The vehicle rate never changes with the destination — only your time on the road does. That is the structural advantage of per-vehicle pricing over per-trip fares. Need one corridor in depth? See the dedicated Seminyak transfer and Ubud transfer pages.
When do you pay the Bali Mandara toll?
Only when your route crosses the airport–Benoa–Nusa Dua corridor. The toll is a flat Rp14,000 for cars (Class I), in force since 27 April 2024, and typically applies on Nusa Dua, Sanur and Denpasar runs. Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud and the Uluwatu peninsula never touch it.
Is an EV cheaper than airport taxis and ride-hailing?
Over any multi-day stay, structurally yes. A $29-per-day self-drive compact held for five days costs $145 and covers every journey you make — not just the airport leg. Point-to-point fares are priced per trip and reprice with season, surge and pickup point; a rental reprices never.
We deliberately quote no taxi or ride-hailing fares here — they move too much to print honestly. What is verifiable: at peak periods the DPS taxi queue commonly runs 30–45 minutes, which is longer than an entire pre-arranged EV handover.
What do charging costs add to the total?
Very little, and the numbers are public. Bali ended 2025 with 230 public chargers across 164 locations, fast charging carries a Rp933.22 per kWh service fee (capped at Rp25,000 per session), ultra-fast Rp1,133.22 per kWh (capped at Rp57,000), and the electricity itself is capped at Rp2,467 per kWh.
In practice a charging stop is an expense counted in thousands of rupiah, not hundreds of thousands — a rounding error against the day rate, and far below any petrol equivalent for the same distance.
How do charter and multi-day bookings price?
An electric car charter from Bali Airport — vehicle plus driver held for the day — simply combines the rows above: the car rate plus the from-$35 driver fee, or a chauffeur-class vehicle at its stated rate. Multi-day self-drive bookings multiply the day rate; weekly and monthly terms are quoted individually on WhatsApp.
Two pricing behaviours worth knowing before you commit. First, the longer the booking, the more the airport leg costs you nothing — it is absorbed into day one of a rate you were paying anyway. Second, chauffeur time is metered honestly: the Darion by the day, the Denza D9 per 12 hours, the Ioniq 5 per 24 — with overtime agreed in writing at booking, never invented at the kerb.
What is included in the airport price?
The car handed over at DPS with a high state of charge, free airport handover, and the WhatsApp thread as your written record of quote and terms. You return the car with a reasonable charge level — the Bali norm — rather than a strict full-to-full rule. Villa and hotel delivery outside the free corridor carries a modest fee, confirmed upfront.
How do you lock in a final price?
Every figure on this page carries the same date stamp: August 2026. High season moves availability first and rates second, so treat the tables as your planning baseline and the WhatsApp quote as the contract. Message +62 811-3941-4563 or bd@juaraholding.com with dates, flight number and destination — then time your landing with the Ngurah Rai arrival guide.
